updates March 5th, 2010 The Autobahn Wheel Company proudly welcomes Daniel Espinoza to the team! Also, we will be celebrating Cliche' week at the Berrics with a storewide sale in the Autobahn Wheel Shop. As always, support your local skateshop first, but if you can't find the specific wheel you want, we've got you covered. Offer ends 3/20/2010 An all new autobahnwheelco.com with a chance to design you own Autobahn wheel coming next month! February 10th, 2010 We have a ton of projects in the works for 2010: new urethanes, a new site, video projects, a few great collaborations, expanded distribution, and at least one contest you're going to want enter. That being said, sometimes the news section gets put on the backburner...but you can't skate news sections so you know, priorities.
First off, big congrats to Autobahn Pro Eli Reed for joining the pro ranks! It's been a blitz of coverage for the Bostonian in the past few months with the above billboard in New York, an interview over at Fuel.tv, a Venture ad/interview, and a contest over at Zoo to win one of his Crest Signature boards. (get on it! deadline is Feb 15th!) Congrats Eli! Let's get started on a wheel... In some more cool news, one of the first guys on the Autobahn Wheel Company, Joey Brezinski is in the new EA Skate 3 game!
Can't wait to huck his character off of bridges! Or have it do handplants and benihanas...Here is the official EA introduction (with a video clip showing off his digital doppleganger), an interview with ESPN about the game, and while we're on the Brezinski subject, Joey's twitter page (NSFW). The kid loves to tweet. And poop. Joey Pepper is your You Will Soon Skater of the Year! We love the site and we love Pepper so it's a win-win.
For more win, here is another great article on Joey from RAW. "Being an asshole is a lost art in skating these days." Rad. Chico Brenes has been focused and working hard lately! The new Thrasher has an interview with tha Cheeks, The Chocolate video is in full production, he's shredding bowls in his new DVS ad... ...and the new LRG video, "Give Me Money Chico" is dropping real soon. He also was in a "Click It and Kick It" over at TWS. Busy guy. Yeah Cheeks. Here is a sweet Caballero flick excerpted from Stevie Caballero's blog. Guy is steady ripping...I really wish LA had a vert ramp. Low impact fun...
I was poking around the site for Donny Barley's shop, Fountain of Youth the other day and wow, they make some really cool stuff. They carry a lot of...I don't want to say obscure...just really cool stuff. Hit it up if you need some new gear. Jersey shredder/ Autobahn Am Ron Deily has some nice clips in this Redbull/TWS article
Autobahn flow team rider (waiting on an intro clip, shhh) Daniel Espinoza done got on Lakai Footwear! Hot damn. I know for a fact that clip was filmed in 2 1/2 weeks. Crazy good. Here's little dude with a First Try Fridays over at the Berrics. I thought Saboteur was a dope game Daniel. Hater.
Ambiguous has a full part up with Sid Melvin. Ray Maldonado with a Rip Clip over at The Mag.
Casey Rigney charges. Wait, wait...he's "beast?" He's "beasting it?" He got all beasted upon that ledge in this 5 tricks over at TWS. I know that much. That's not a little person, he's the newest addition to our flowteam, Matty Chaffin! Stoops, sorry Schmatty. I'll make the new tees in XXXL for you as punishment.
Zarosh. Wheels for life.
Rodney Torres Gets ChromeBalled. Hell yeah El Toro! Texas has always had a great skate scene. New flowbro, Michael Tang cements that fact in the first part of the FourDuos video that you can watch in it's entirety RIGHT HERE! The future is bright. And big at night...deep in the heart of Texas! haha...He rides for Mike Crum's HYPE skateboards as well...if that isn't Texas roots, I don't know what to tell you. and...this is Japanese teamrider, Buchi! Yeah Buchi! Daijoebu! (?) this has been fun...now go skateboard ya blog reader! oh and Ride Autobahn! Seriously, why would ride anything else? December 15th, 2009 Christmas is right around the corner! Hope everyone is staying warm out there and getting in a skate when you can. Don't forget to put Autobahn Wheels on your Christmas list! Here are some things from around the net you may or may not have caught: Over at Skateboarder: Two Tuesday 25s with our boys Adelmo and Roberts. Speakin' of Chris, he's got some nice mannies logged on Slap. Also at Slap, Autobahn O.G. Ricky Oyola had an opus of an interview, conducted in the wee hours of the morning, with questions from the messageboards. Ricky also got the coveted Chrome Ball treatment recently. Caballero gets deep over at Poweredge. Clint's goes polar opposite with Clint's Cam over at the Stereo Sound agency. Autobahn rider Ron Deily and NJ fam Chris Nieratko took a trip to Cuba. A great article with some nice skating to boot. (click the pic) Also, big congrats to Ron and Autobahn International rider Adrien Bulard for making a heavy final at Tampa Am! Big Malcs' glass is always half full. Also at the Berrics, The Berrics Canteen United with flobros Daniel Espinoza and Ray Maldonado. Ray done went and got him a Bangin' as well! Yeah Ray! Casey Rigney powering his way through the end of this Strange Notes Mayhem clip. Ginger snaps! I had bookmarked Justin Cefai's Rip Clip over at the Skateboard Mag so I could post it up here and stumbled upon more Autobahn flobros in there. Josh Campos (wow Josh), and Dustin Blauvelt to be exact. Ripping steeze holmeses! Good to see you back on board Dustin... Happy Holidays! See you in 2010...big things right around the corner...including but not limited to, the best wheel formula/build I have personally ever skated just got through testing. Very early 2010, the ABX... November 2nd, 2009 First off, big congratulations to Steve Caballero and his wife Rachael on the birth of their daughter, Clover Lavie Caballero! And while you're over at Stevie's blog, can I get a whoa doggie for this! Gnar.
Autobahn Pro Lucas Puig has a new commercial up over at Cliche'. Exemplary job by French Fred as usual. See, if you ride Autobahn Wheels you can huck switch heel varials like this:

Sheesh! I knew he was good, but damn! Look at the style on this kid! Another Autobahn Works teamrider, Steven Webb has spotty vision over at redbullskateboarding.com. Funny thing is, I went out there to film with him last weekend and we were kicked out of that spot. So saying "we never get kicked out" is like saying "last try." Don't do it! Unless you're not superstitious. In that case, go nuts. Autobahn Works rider Sebo Walker's part from a video called, Count It?!(click image) We're big Sebo fans over here... And last but not least, flowbro Ray Maldonado comin' in hot with a 5 trick fix over at TWS. New product section coming soon! October 8th, 2009 Busy times around here at the Autobahn Wheel Co. All new designs are coming in, we have a new catalog underway, and a site/store update in the works. A TON of new designs on dropping this month. We are also completing testing on two new formulas which are coming along very nicely. Autobahn doesn't grab the latest thing and slap our logo on it. We do extensive testing and re-formulating so you get the best product. And we only make wheels. That's all we do. These are some of the reasons why you don't hear flatspots in our riders' clips. If you ride 'em, you know. Thankfully, things are finally cooling down here in Socal, but the Autobahn team is hot! Ok that was bad...here's some stuff of our guys from around the web. Did you know the Berrics gets 1.5 million hits a day? Autobahn Pro and newly married man, Joey Brezinski was Bangin' there for 3 million eyeballs. Congrats Joey!...Stevie Cab also had a First Try Fridays. Think he made a Miller Flip first try? Autobahn Am, Ron Deily cruised into 3rd place and a quick $1000 on the Girl obstacle at this year's Vans Downtown Showdown. Nonchalant. We have another collaborative wheel with Cliche' for Lucas Puig dropping soon...The retrospective book RESUMe' is out now. Pick one up if you can! They also have a blog up with photos that weren't used. Little Lucas! Speaking of Cliche', did anyone score one of these? So sick. Silk-screened boards are hard to come by these days... Works rider Zarosh Eggleston in the Buena Vista pool over at Thrasher. Santa Cruz/Autobahn rider Sid Melvin on a Nor-Cal tour wth Ambiguous Clothing. Part 1 | Part 2 Element/Autobahn Works rider Sebo Walker is amazing! Here are a few clips floating around of See-bow. Element Camp | Mini-ramping | Park Sharking (!) Love watching Sebo... Works rider Adrian Gephart takes the stuntman's approach, crushing spots. Same with one of our favorites, Casey Rigney Colin Commito gets free hardware! Also, skates with a lot of creativity and finesse. Hope you're enjoying Chicago, Colin! On the new rider front, we just starting hooking up Daniel Espinoza! Kid has style beyond his years...here's proof (flannel, 3rd place) See? Told you...Daniel and our other flowbro, Steve Webb were answering your texts on The Berrics today. I could use a class! Ok, enough digital skateboarding, get on out there and skate! August 12th, 2009 Couple video features on the Autobahn Youtube page. The Fourstar team is on their first Euro tour right now...here is a clip from the UK leg...Lucas has some nice clips toward the end there...real nice. Vans is having a logo contest with the proceeds going to charity. Vote for Cabbie! Jeff Ward is a flow guy on the team that I thought only handled pools and tranny and such...but it turns out he's quite the all-arounder. Speaking of flow bros, I have a long footie tape of Zarosh Eggleston that I will be putting up June 2nd, 2009 How we doing people? Manny Mania is coming up fast! All the info is HERE . I'd say he has a fair shot at taking the whole thing. Malcolm Watson has a mini-interview about skating at USC. Nice clip to go with it... Hot on the heels of Ron Deily's Bangin' at the Berrics is Zoo York/Autobahn teammate, Eli Reed. Damn dude. Versitility at it's finest... Speaking of Zoo, their new full-length video, State of Mind is premiering all over the place. It's sure to be a doozie. If you can't make it to one of the premiers, the video ships June 19th. Seems impossible to prank people anymore...so you'll get none here. First off the contest is over! Quit sending in entries. The answer was Fabio. Fabio was "killed" bombing a hill I believe...if you haven't got your prizes yet, they are on the way. Autobahn teamrider linkage Benny Fairfax is Pro! Congrats man! I need to get a Benny and a Clint for my wall... Cheeks had a great Firsthand on FuelTV drop. Joey went for comedic relief. It was a serious one though. Amazing Chico! Best episode I've seen.
